Welcome
We are a family owned and operated business located on the shore of Labrador’s Caribou Lake, surrounded by a forest of Labrador’s famous Black Spruce. Our location’s vastness of unspoiled wilderness is home to the largest barren ground caribou herd in the world (George River Caribou Herd) and the always mysterious Grey Wolf combined with the countless bodies of fish filled water. Labrador is also the home to some of the largest black bears in North America. This is truly the area for anyone in search of a true wilderness experience.
Caribou Lake Lodge is located approximately 125 miles east of Labrador City which is the largest producer of Iron Ore in Canada. After leaving Labrador City road travelers will be able to reach our lodge by following the Trans Labrador Highway (Route 500) through some of Labrador’s picturesque landscape. Our location offers you, our guest the opportunity to drive right to the front door of our lodge.
Labrador Caribou Outfitters invite you to come and visit us in “The Big Land” to experience our friendly hospitality, great food, strong work ethic, and traditional keen sense of humor that we have to offer. So grab your gear and get ready for a true adventure - one that we promise will not be soon forgotten and no doubt will be desired to be repeated.
