You can get to Labrador today. It is closer than you think. You can fly there from Montreal or Halifax in a couple of hours, or drive there in a couple of Days. The information on this page may help, but there are many other ways to get here. A year-round highway system connects Labrador City (and the nearby town of Wabush) to Baie Comeau , Quebec and the National Highway System; a spur line of the Quebec North Shore and Labrador Railway connects the towns to Sept-Iles and Schefferville, Quebec; and the regional airport in Labrador West is serviced by mainline domestic and regional/local air carriers.

By Road:
Motorists can reach Labrador City and Wabush via Route 389, a partialy-Paved highway from Baie Comeau, Quebec. Total distance is 581 Kilometers (361 miles) and travel time is 8.5 hours. Highway services are available at Manicougan 5 and Relais Gabreil. The Trans-Labrador Highwauy, Route 500, is a gravel road between Labrador City and Happy Valley - Goose Bay. There are no highway services along this road except in the major Centers of Wabush/Labrador City, Churchill Falls and Happy Valley - Goose Bay.

Manic 5 to Ganon = 105 mi. 2.5hrs@45mph, Gravel Good condition.
Gagnon to Fire Lake = 40 mi. 1hr@55mph, Paved, Some Pot holes.
Fire Lake to Mount Wright = 40 mi. 1.5hr@30mph, Narrow and winding.
Mount Wright to Labrador City/Wabush = 25 mi. .5hr@50mph, Paved, Good.
By Rail:
Quebec North Shore & Labrador Railway(QNS&L) takes you through breathtaking wilderness on this 8 hour journey from Sept-Iles, Quebec to Labrador West. It operates two return trips per week. Also available once a week is a trip from Labrador West to Schefferville, Quebec. The Train Leaves Sept-Iles on a Thursday and after a stop in Labrador City, arrives in Schefferville approximately twelve hours later. It then leaves Schefferville on Friday morning and arrives in Sept-Isles the same day. It is recommended you bring along a lunch for the train ride. There are also vending machines on the train for coffee and sandwiches.

Commercial airlines provide daily flights into Wabush, Labrador. One of our Representatives will meet you at the airport and provide transportation to the camp.
